- Homemade pizza crust recipe link
- 1 lg boneless skinless chicken breast - small cubes and sautéed
- ½ med onion - julienne sliced & sautéed
- 1 sm red pepper - julienne sliced & sautéed
- Alfredo sauce
- 2 cloves garlic - minced
- fresh basil leaves - not dried
- 1 pear - 1/8" sliced and remove seeds
- 2 c cheese - shredded 4 cheese Italian blend is best
Directions
Make crust and set aside to rise and rest. Cube chicken, season with salt and pepper and sauté in olive oil. In the drippings sauté the onions and red peppers. Core the pear and slice very thin. Roll the crust into a 12" circle or rectangle to fit your pan. Spread a thin layer of your favorite Alfredo sauce. Sprinkle with the garlic, arrange the basil leaves and pear slices. Cover the pizza with the sautéed chicken, peppers and onion. Top with the cheese. Pre-heat the oven and pizza stone to 400° F.
Baking - I prefer a thin crust and to bake mine on a 400° F pizza stone for about 15 min or until the cheese is bubbly and has browned a little. If you do not have a pizza stone you may have to bake the pizza a few more minutes to cook the crust. This is really dependent upon how thin you like the crust, how many ingredients you like and your oven. Use corn meal to coat your pizza peel so that the pizza will slide onto the stone easier.
