Stud Finder Tip
Ever need to find a ceiling joist or stud on a textured wall? This works really well. I use a disposable kitchen cutting board as a base to slide the stud finder around on. You can also use a piece of plexiglass, cutting mat or a thin sheet of plastic.
Mark Your Studs
When you put up fresh wall paper the last thing you want to do is use a nail to find the studs. Use painters tape on the tile, baseboard or crown molding to keep track of the studs. You can also mark them on the ceiling or floor.
